Good morning and welcome the kid news. I'm Tori. Today is Monday, October 5th,

2020, which happens to be World Teachers Day for all our fabulous educators.

And we begin with word that President Trump could be released from the hospital

any time now. Late yesterday, he surprised supporters and much of the media by leaving Walter Reed Medical

Center briefly to thank those gathered outside.

He never exited his SUV, he wore a mask, and waved to crowds from the backseat.

Just before he ventured out, he released a video thanking the

staff saying he's learned a lot about the virus and will share his journey in the

days ahead. According to his doctor, the president needed oxygen Saturday, but has no fever,

is breathing fine, and if he continues to make progress, will be discharged today to the White

House to continue his coronavirus recovery there.

In the meantime, sources maintain he is doing the work of the nation from Walter Reed

and that there's been no transfer of power to Vice President Pence.

As we reported last week, the NFL has its own COVID problem, but now two teams are taking

the fight against it, high-tech.

The Carolina Panthers are cleaning their stadium and locker rooms with what's billed as the

world's first germ-zapping robot.

It's called the Exxon Light Strike, and according to the company that makes it, is 99.9% effective at killing the virus within two minutes.

Another team is taking an airborne approach.

The Atlanta Falcons welcome back fans for the first time next Sunday,

and will use two drones to spray a medical-grade disinfectant on the stands.
