Welcome. Today we're going to be talking about one of my favorite quotes by Tony Robbins and that quote is this.

Most people overestimate what they can do in a year, but they underestimate what they can do in a decade.

And what that means is this. I have a lot of conversations with people who listen to my podcast and my coaching clients and my one-on-one coaching and my group coaching as well.

And this is 100% true. People overestimate what they can do in a year, but they underestimate, they overestimate what they can do in a decade or what they can do in a lifetime.

Most people want things to happen right away. They want them to happen right away.

Not realizing that if you're going to build something successful, whether that's a successful business or whether that's a successful life, the way that you do it is by putting time in and realizing that you don't have to take one big giant step to success.

It's just little, teeny, tiny steps every single day towards your destination.

Most people think that they can start a business today and be making $100,000 by the end of the year. That's a pretty rare case.

For you to start a business today and to become profitable by the end of the year is pretty rare in itself.

But for you to start a business today and grow it to millions of dollars within the next decade is definitely possible because people overestimate what they can do in a short period of time like a year.

And they underestimate what they can do in a decade.

So the question that I have for you and the thing that I want you to consider is this, are you playing the long game or you trying to get the immediate gratification?

Because in 2017 most people are just shooting for the immediate gratification.

And the reason why is because naturally with the way communication works with technology, with all of these things that are out nowadays, we want instant gratification.
