Verse 14, these things I write to you,

though I hope to come to you shortly.

But if I am delayed, I write so that you may know how you ought to conduct yourself in the house of God,

which is the church of the living God,

the pillar and ground of the truth.

So, um, notice he uses this house of got like the household, this household language again, right?

He's like, I'm hoping to see you again.

We could go over this all in person, but just in case, right, because he's aware

that he may not be getting out of prison this time. Here's how to operate within God's household.

Right. So he's putting St. Timothy in sort of that position, that sort of Episcopal's position,

right? You're one of the overseers of the household of God.

You're one of the fathers now, right?

He's St. Paul's son, but now he's going to have this fatherly role, which means he needs

to help put the household of God in good order.

And, and, you know, the household of God in good order. And the word church, by the way, is also a reason why some people say St. Paul couldn't have written this.

Because the idea of the church came later.
