Summary

Today I demonstrate how conservatives are allegedly losing ground on nearly every major issue despite Republican control and Trump’s dominance over the GOP. The old guard of establishment Republicans — the Mitch McConnells, Thom Tillises, and Bill Cassidys — are running out of gas. But instead of replacing them with true constitutional conservatives, Trump is using his massive 96% endorsement success rate to elevate a new, more dangerous breed of establishment candidate: "MAGA Inc." RINOs. Candidates like Julia Letlow and Ashley Hinson don the red hat and mouth the right slogans, but their voting records reveal they are completely beholden to K Street special interests, corporate data center land-grabs, and medical tyranny. Because they wrap themselves in the MAGA banner, they are twice as hard for actual conservatives to defeat. I also expose how the abortion pill mifepristone — supported by Trump’s FDA, DOJ, and Supreme Court appointees — is effectively nullifying the Dobbs decision and reshaping the abortion fight nationwide. It’s a perfect example of how even our greatest victories are illusory.  Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

Your host, Daniel Harowitz. It is Monday. It is May 18th,

0:23.1

and it's time to get down to work. You look at the amalgamation of what Trump and the rest of

0:29.5

the Republican Party is doing in terms of their list of priorities in Congress, juxtaposed to

0:35.7

what they promised to do. If you look at the list of

0:38.5

Trump's primary endorsements and all the incumbent rhinos that he endorses, and then the one or two

0:45.9

he chooses not to are the more conservative ones, you start to get the sense that for every

0:53.6

step forward we take, we take multiple steps backwards.

0:58.2

And I want to show you several examples of that in the primaries, on the abortion fight where we thought we won with Roe v. Wade, but in fact, we're losing.

1:09.3

And we don't even get the benefits of judicial

1:11.8

supremacism after agreeing to that. We're losing in the states. But more broadly, you need to

1:17.6

understand that without Trump, we might not have taken over the GOP everywhere, but we were

1:25.3

gradually building bastions against the establishment.

1:29.7

Okay, they ran out of gas.

1:31.8

They did have a lot of K Street money, but they didn't have anyone inspiring.

1:37.5

Okay, nobody was inspired by Tom Tillis, by Mitch McConnell, by John Thune, by all these people, by John Boehner.

1:45.1

No one was inspired by them.

1:47.1

They would win by affirmation usually, but then we were gradually building angst against

1:52.3

them.

1:52.6

Trump comes along and says, give me the ball, give me the ball.
