So what are you up to these days?

Training-wise, got back in the groove a little bit this week,

getting ready for starting to prep for 2017.

Then some dug-in had to have a little tough conversation with myself and analyze and kind of evaluate

where I was in my journey as a as a triathlet and where I needed to actually if you know if my

current abilities and time and goals that they actually matched up to where where I wanted to go

and it's funny I was actually doing some goals for next year and telling Ali Biden.

I was like, I kind of had to have a tough conversation with myself.

You know, do I think I'll actually be ready to, you know, qualify, you know, for Kona next year?

And the answer is no.

You know, I don't think that with the time frame that I have and professional

responsibilities and, you know, with the newborn, you know, honestly, it's probably

going to be like a three-year journey because I've already committed to not doing an Iron

man next year.

I'm going to really focus on the short distance.

70.3, you know, I do have a goal to qualify for 70.3 worlds in Chattanooga.

That's something I feel like I can accomplish.

And then do an Iron Man late 2018, you know, either Louisville, Wisconsin again, Arizona, you know, who knows, by 2018, it'd probably be like six or seven more full-distance Iron Man available. So I'm really just kind of have my pick of the letter and then do one late enough in the year to where I would qualify for Kona the next year.

So I'm really looking at a three-year kind of cycle.

You know, qualify hopefully in two years, be able to do it the third year, which would be kind of neat.
