On our last searchlight program we saw that David had put himself in a real bad spot.

In our story in 1st Samuel 29,

David was living in Philistine territory,

the land of the enemy.

He was tired of being chased by Saul who was trying to kill him and thought that he could

find relief with his enemy the Philistines. We learned that it is always a

mistake to become involved with the enemy and this is proving true in David's case.

He had made friends with Aikish, the Philistine King of Gath.

Now Aikish was calling upon David to join the Philistines in battle against Israel. This would be a disaster for David.

Fortunately, God comes to the rescue.

As we join Pastor John today, we will see how this story works out, but more importantly,
