and a lie unto

a lie unto my pad to my path.

Welcome to Searchlight. A survey through scripture with Pastor John Corson. It is our desire to bring you a

systematic study of the entire Bible chapter by chapter book by book by book.

Here on Searchlight, we have been going through the book of First Samuel.

It is a very enlightening book that gives us pictures that help us understand our Lord and our

walk with him.

Much of the book has been a contrast between two men, Saul, who was king, and David who would be king. Today as we begin our

verse-by-verse study of chapter 26 we will once again see Saul jealously

pursuing David in trying to kill him.

Let's now join Pastor John and see what we can learn from these two Kings.

We left off in chapter 26, seeing David once again being chased by King Saul.

Saul determined to do David in, to wipe David out.

David had spared his life on a previous occasion,

and tonight we'll see him spare Saul's life once more.

Saul with his army of 3,000 chosen men, valiant warriors, commandos, green berets, special forces guys.

They were making their way through the wilderness in the area of ZIF, tracking David down as they heard reports from the ZIFites that David was in the region of ZIF.
