Welcome to Searchlight. A survey through scripture with Pastor John Corson. It is our desire to bring you a

systematic study of the entire Bible chapter by chapter book by book.

It is sad to see someone with so much potential throw it away in a life of sin and

carnality.

Unfortunately, we see that very thing happening in our story today.

Over the past few searchlight programs, we have been looking at the life of Saul the first king of Israel.

Remember that God was Israel's true king but the people insisted on another king so

God gave them soul. When he was first chosen, Saul looked like such a good guy from all outward appearances, and

it seemed like he was genuinely humble.

But we soon saw a man who was prideful and self-centered. He was impatient and did not trust in God.

As we continue the story of Saul in 1st Samuel 15, we will see Saul take a further step into sin, and it is a step that is very

instructive to us. With the story here now is, Pastor John.
