Today we're talking about prom expectations.

So we all have prom expectations.

It's that time of year and prom is right around the corner.

Maybe it's next week for your school, maybe in May, but it's coming up and you're probably

seeing your friends starting to get asked on social media. You're seeing the girl that got the cute roses at her doorstep with a clever little sign

that was punny.

Or you're seeing the girl who already has her boyfriend and they have her outfits coordinated

and figured out and she's got that dress ready and prom is super fun

I loved my prom experiences gonna talk a little bit more about that in a minute but I think

because prom is something that can get so hyped up, we get a lot of expectations around it.

It's so easy to help and think that you need to have that perfect boy to ask you, or you

need to find the right dress, or you want the night to just be so fun and go flawlessly. But proms don't really happen like that.

Even all those people you're seeing on social media, I was super excited for senior prom.

Like I was so pumped about it and was really hoping it would be fun. You know, senior prom,

it's supposed to be one of the highlights of your high school experience. My high school,

senior prom, definitely went a little different than I had planned in my head. There was a boy

who I thought was a little nerdy, little awkward. I was

judgmental and he had liked me my freshman year. We were friends to degree, but when I found out

he liked me, I was like, oh, no, that's weird.

And so I kind of pushed, distanced him from me.
