Hello, my chicken saints, welcome back. Last week we studied First Nefai 1 through 5. I hope you enjoyed our headfirst dive into the text itself.

And I hope that you put up with me for an extra hour.

For those of you who are longtime

listeners we basically did halftime and for those that we're looking forward to a

one-hour video we did double time so we're I'll keep working on it okay

bear with me. But today is a about as perfect a sequel of last week's lesson as you can

imagine. Because the way Chapter 5 ended last week, the boys have come back with the plates,

mom's thrilled, dad wants the scriptures. And so it's like, son, give

them to me. And he begins to search them from the beginning, finding that they are of great worth unto them,

and realizing that for his sake and ours, it is wisdom in God that we should carry these books with us in our journey through the wilderness toward the promised land.

Now as far as the narrative of the story is concerned, the next moment in the storyline comes in chapter 7.

We go from 5 to 7 because it's actually really interesting the way it works out because if

he's studying these scriptures from the very

beginning and he's told us that they begin with the books of Moses including an

account of the creation and of Adam and Eve I picture me if or excuse me Lehi

there in the wilderness reading this and going, oh, and it is not good for man to be alone.

Oh no.

And he just realized that I've brought four atoms with me and they don't have any eaves with them. So something's got to change.

And right there at the beginning of chapter 7 he sends his boys back to Jerusalem, there's no

complaints this time around, to go find Ishmael and his family that has

more eaves than Adams to match up with with Lehi and Suriah who had more atoms

than eaves okay seriously match made in heaven we'll see more of that when we get to chapter 7.
