Hello my friends welcome back to Unshaken. Today we are finishing First Nephi and I hope that our last few weeks in it have been glorious for you.

This is such an incredible way to begin this book of scripture. Next week we'll be diving into

second Nephi and actually it's a chance to come up for a little bit of air because we only have two chapters next week.

That's going to be amazing.

But that means we have seven chapters to cover this week to get there.

though there are some places to scuba dive

that are absolutely incredible.

Now to lay out the kind of the lay of the land,

first of all, we're going to start with stories and then

end with scriptures because the first half of this week's material, chapter 16, 17

and 18, are the narrative portion, the storyline.

We're going to see them obtain the Leahona and make it through the wilderness and build the ship

and cross the sea and arrive at the promised land.

And then in chapter 19 through 22, we'll shift to the scripture side.

All kinds of scriptures that Nephi is going to be wrestling with in 19, and then 20 and 21, he quotes Isaiah.

So yeah, brace yourself.

We usually think the Isaiah chapters are confined to second Nephi,

almost like this barrier that's hard to break through.

Well, I will admit the second Nephi Isaiah chapters are harder, but they start withza chapters here at the end of First Nephi.

And they're actually easier to understand, which is helpful.
