0:25.7	This is an amazing section of the Book of Mormon,
0:28.7	where you get Nephi sharing his vision.
0:35.6	So this vision that we could call a panoptic vision, a vision of all.
0:42.3	He sees so many things and we only get a little flavor, a little sampling of the elements
0:49.3	that he had, that he has shown. Before we dive into the actual vision, we want to begin with what brought
0:58.7	on the vision. So join us in verse 1 of chapter 11 and notice the order of the verbs here.
1:10.0	What did Nephii do? Okay? Here we go. For it came to pass after,
1:18.6	that's a significant word. It wasn't the beginning or during. It was after I had desired to know the things that my father had seen. It begins with a desire.
1:34.0	Brothers and sisters, so many of you and us end up beating ourselves up because we're
1:39.1	not perfect and we don't do things exactly the way they need to be done. I love the fact
1:44.0	that the scriptures emphasize the desires of our hearts and the desires
1:50.6	of our covenant relationship with God.
1:54.8	We desire, we want to be better, we want to be good.
1:58.7	I love the word that appears multiple places, for instance,
2:04.1	in the Temple Recommend interview. Do you strive? I love that word because to me it denotes
2:11.6	this. It's what I want. It's what I'm seeking for. Am I perfect at it? No. But am I working at it? Yes.
