This is the Bible Book Club. I'm Heather and I'm Susan. And we're in the book of First Kings. Welcome to the club.

Last time in chapter one of First Kings, we opened with an aging king, King David is old and his body is failing so much that he has a beautiful

young girl named Abashag to keep him warm. Adonaja, David's son, takes advantage of the situation

and he rallies support in attempt to become king. Nathaniel found out and he and Bathsheba told David.
