1 Kings chapter 12 tonight we're just going to do one chapter again really

looking forward to I know I say this every week but really looking forward to

this chapter a lot of really interesting things that are in this chapter that

we're going to be looking at tonight this chapter will have some real

sentimental value in a way for those who went to Israel with us we're going to

sort of revisit tell Dan where the altar was built for the convenience of the

Israelites which led them into idolatry.

But that was kind of a spoiler alert. So anyway, we'll get there when we get to the end of the chapter.

But let's pray.

We'll ask God's blessing on our time together in His Word.

Loving Heavenly Father, we just love you so much and we're so thankful to you and we just

love your words so much and we really look forward to our Thursday night midweek Bible

study.

It's really a time for us to unplug and disconnect from all the cares and the affairs of this life, all the busyness of the day

and just put that all away and focus our attention on you and your word and that which

you have for us in your word.

And so Lord, it's with great anticipation that we
