Hey there, this is Mary Demuth and this is Pray Every Day where I have the joy and privilege

of praying you through the Bible verse by verse. Happy to have you here and really humbled that you

lend your ear to me every day. So thank you for that. And thank you for loving the Word of God so

much and for wanting to be

prayed for it. It's such a privilege for me to be able to pray you through your day. And I do pray

that today is a day. It's a good day. This is the day that the Lord has made. We will rejoice and be

glad in it. But for those who are anxious, I want to pray. Lord, for those scared or fearful about what this

day may behold, what it may become, Lord, I pray that you would shed light in those dark places.

You would prepare them for the day and give them bravery to speak the truth and love.

Give them bravery to do the hard thing. Give them bravery to speak the truth and love. Give them bravery to do the hard thing.

Give them bravery to stand tall and to stand for you in a very crooked and perverse world.

Lord, your presence, I pray it would go with them in profound ways and that they would feel your presence in Jesus' name.

Today, I'm reading from 1 John 3, verses 1 through 12 in the World English Bible. This is what it says.

See how great a love the Father has given to us that we should be called children of God. For this cause, the world

doesn't know us because it didn't know him. Beloved, now we are children of God. It is not yet

revealed what we will be, but we know that when he is revealed, we will be like him, for we will

see him just as he is. Everyone who has this hope set on him purifies himself, even as he is pure.

Everyone who sins also commits lawlessness.

Sin is lawlessness.

You know that he was revealed to take away our sins, and no sin is in him.

Whoever remains in him does not sin, whoever sins hasn't seen him
