Welcome to Searchlight, a survey through Scripture with Pastor John Corson.

It is our desire to bring you a systematic study of the entire Bible, chapter by chapter, book by book.

On our last Searchlight program, we begin our first verse by verse study through the book of First

Corinthians. This is a book that is full of practical exhortations for the church and for

individuals within the church. This is because the Apostle Paul was writing this letter to a church

and to individual people who were really messed up.

As we join our teaching today, we will learn that the city of Corinth itself contributed

to their problems.

With the explanation of this, here now is, Pastor John.

This church of God, located at Corinth Corinth was an interesting place.

You see, Corinth was a city there in South Central Greece.

That was exceedingly prosperous economically.

The reason was because you could actually sail from the Adriatic Sea,
