of First Chronicles. And you'll see, have you read ahead? How many, how many know it's coming?

How many have read ahead? Wow, you are really brave. So let's turn to First Chronicles, chapter one, and let's definitely pray before we start.

Father, this is your word.

And you said to us in the New Testament that all scripture is given by inspiration of God and is profitable.

Lord, even though we have a list of names, genealogical records, chronicles of a nation, the history of that nation. You did it for a reason.

You did it for a purpose. And so, Father, we pray that as we look at these chapters tonight

that you will reveal to us what you need to reveal to us, that we would not only get information,

but inspiration.

In Jesus' name we pray.

When you think of a chronicle, you might think of a newspaper.

The San Francisco Chronicle is the name of that city's newspaper.

The Houston Chronicle, again, a newspaper of a city.

The Augusta Chronicle, Augusta, Georgia.

A Chronicle is a record of life.

And way back before the days of technology, before the days of cameras and tape recorders
