Today we are gathered here to celebrate the birth anniversary of Sri Ramakrishna.

You know that we have two calendars. We observe the birth anniversaries of Sri Ramakrishna or the Holy Mother or other such

religious festivities in our order according to the traditional Indian calendar, which is a lunar

calendar. So sometimes, not sometimes, almost always, the dates do not coincide with the English calendar.

But this year, it's an interesting coincidence that yesterday was the birthday of Sri Ramakrishna according to the Indian calendar.

And today is actually the birthday of Sri Ramak Krishna according to the English calendar, 18 February.

So it's just about the same and sort of perfect.
