How we all get on the same page of this one. We were discussing a little bit off the air, so won't be any infighting about this subject, I don't think. It's basically how service sucks when you go into places. And I think it's because the corporations are making things a lot tougher they need to be. And we were talking, Nick was mentioning about off the air about the iPhone update, but it reminded me of a story that happens. Does everybody have to update their iPhone? Is that the deal now.

0:23.8

You should.

0:24.6

I mean, you mentioned about off the air about the iPhone update, but it reminded me of a story that happens to read. Does everybody have to update their iPhone? Is that the deal now?

0:23.8

You should. I mean, you should always have the most current operating system. Yeah, and all

0:28.6

the graphics change, but that's the... This one sucks. Yeah. Yeah, the graphics change and

0:32.9

everything. Does it alert you saying you should update this? Or... A lot of time to say,

0:36.9

this will update tonight. Yeah, it's on overnight. Just leave it on overnight. I'll just like do it naturally. So my daughter's her and I, she was on my Verizon plan. And she lives outside of Kansas City. And she was in town visiting. So the reason we wanted to do this in person because somebody told her in Verizon that to get off my bill, I had to be there in person. Okay, I'm thinking, well, that doesn't make any sense because so she flies here to visit and we go to a Verizon store. And a guy walks, and we're like fifth in line because it's Saturday, which is brilliant to go on the weekends. So we're there on a Saturday. But that went pretty quick. And a kind gentleman walked up to his young guy, do what he was doing. But he started talking to us. And she goes, yeah, I want to go out. My dad's plan. And then I want to buy a new phone. So I'm going to start my own plan. And he goes, oh, you got to do it on your phone. I go, and so I go, well, we're in a Verizon store.

1:31.8

And he has a computer right there at his hand.

1:34.4

He goes, she gives, he gives my daughter a phone number to call.

1:37.9

So we're calling Verizon from a Verizon store.

1:40.7

And she's getting to run around because basically, she's a lot kinder than me, which is pretty a low bar. But she's getting to run around because basically she's a lot kinder than me which is pretty

1:45.6

a low bar but she's getting to run around from a couple guys that are from overseas she can

1:50.8

understand them i can't i can hear the guy talking to her but she's got better ears than me and then

1:55.6

it it's nothing's happening at all and then every once in a while the guy walks back he goes hey

1:59.6

let me know if you need some help i said, we do. But you told us that you have to do this over the phone. And he goes, yeah, so why can't you do this? Oh, that doesn't work that way. So we're in, and I once guy said, we're in a Verizon store. Why are you here? Yeah. So eventually, we left. answer, it doesn't work that way? Here. He goes, you have to do what your...

2:20.7

You have to do what you have to do it. I said, you could have done all. I didn't really get mad at the kids. He's running around and he didn't make the rules. But I'm thinking, dude, you could be doing this. You can be sitting here, getting her off the bill with your, you know, your computer. I would have loved if you called the number and the phone in his pocket rings. And he picks that up and he's like, hey, Verizon. It's you? Then I was in there in a beanie and a sweatshirt and it was 40 degrees. I was getting hot. I was getting cranky. And my daughter could tell her was getting cranky.

2:52.2

We were there an hour and a half on the phone trying to go. So she said, let's leave. I said, yes. We just walked out. So on the way home, she gets a hold of the guy, and he does everything over the phone. And he gets it done eventually. And I didn't have to be anywhere. Because where do you have to be in person anymore?

3:09.3

I mean, I recently had a bunch of documents that had to be signed by me and my ex, and we don't live anywhere in the same states anymore. And it was all just electronic. Yeah. That's all it is. Yeah. So just, and Todd, tell me about your airport story. This one always drives me crazy too because I've had this happen to me.

3:26.4

Oh yeah. When we got stranded in Hawaii because there was a hurricane coming and they canceled most of the flights.

3:33.1

At least the airline we were on. And I went to, oh yeah, we chose United. Well, United can get us home.

3:40.2

And we're right there at the counter.

3:42.8

Here's the deal. Our hurricanes coming. We need to get out of here. Right. You know, because U.S. Airways, which, you know, existed at the time, said, yeah, we can get you out on Wednesday. And this was like a Thursday. No. Perfect. We got to get home. I'm right there at the ticket counter and they said it would go a lot quicker for you if you just booked it online.
