Kursk Offensive brings Ukraine hope that Azov prisoners may be freed.

Ukraine destroys third crucial bridge in Kursk.

Also Russia captures major town in East Ukraine. We have fog of war in the

cursed salient that would be the incursion of a mechanized brigade and more of Ukrainian troops

headed to the large and historically significant town of Kursk inside Russia.

We also have claims by Russia that it's making advances in the Donutsk Oblast.

colleague and co-host and we're very pleased that John Hardy of the

FDD can join us because John is watching this story which is moving very quickly

it's changed profoundly in just a week. The curse salient first this is what would be called in the Great War of a century ago. A bulge in the line,

a bulge into Russia. However, there are moving parts here that are difficult to

summarize. So I turn to John. John, right now, Kursk is part of the story. It's well away from the Ukrainian border.

Somi Oblast comes first and the important town of Sudja, which is not only a railroad town leading to South to the Crimea and to

Luhansk and Danetsk and Kharkiv, but also I'm told it is a town where there is terminal control for the natural

gas coming from Russia that heretofore was always counted on running

through Ukraine where it earned money for it and into Europe.

So Sjia is captured, but Kursk is looked to be in contention right now.
