I welcome, Katarina Zelotiva of geopolitical future.

She's in Moscow, writing most helpfully about the ports that Russia depends upon for worldwide commerce.

And right now, how those ports are operating under sanctions during the war in Ukraine

and the worldwide recovery from pandemic.

Also, Russia is working with China now.

So there's more trade in the interior of Eurasia than there used to be. But those ports are to the world, and Russia's products

in and out are critical. We begin in the Baltic. At Katerina has profiled the Baltic

as fundamental to Russia's success, not just now,

but over the last several centuries. And an incident in the Baltic, we need to establish that

made all of the news here. That was two undersea fiber cables were cut. The allegation within hours was that they were cut on purpose.

The culprit said the allegers was a China-owned container ship, and the China-owned container ship

had a Russian, or some parts of it were Russian crew. As I understand, the investigation did not

turn up evidence that the cutting of the cable was purposeful. It had to do with dragging its

anchor along the seabed, and that cut the cables. At Katarina, a very good evening to you.

This is not the first time a cable then has been damaged in the Baltic Sea.

How is this resolved today?

The allegation was very, very suggestive against the Russian crew. Have they been cleared of the offense?
