Hello and welcome to the Thursday November 15th 2018 edition of Tesla Daily on

0:11.8

official Tesla Podcast.

0:13.0

My name is Rob Maower.

0:14.0

Today we are talking about model 3 production,

0:16.0

as well as some news on logistics and deliveries.

0:19.0

Tesla stock on the day did finish up 1.29% to $348.44. This did trail the NASDAQ slightly

0:26.7

which finished up 1.72%. We'll start today with some news being reported by Electrec, they are saying that by November 28th,

0:35.3

Tesla is pushing to achieve a weekly production rate of 7,000 model 3s per week.

0:40.9

0:51.4

which is what's needed for a true 1,000 vehicles per day rate, taking equipment

0:56.4

uptime into account.

0:58.4

To be clear, this includes all lines for a particular subsystem.

1:02.1

So for example, general assembly units per hour would include both

1:05.9

general assembly three lines plus GA4." This is interesting for quite a few reasons. Number one,

1:12.1

that would be obviously a

1:13.4

tremendous production rate I don't think people are expecting 7,000 per week this

1:17.3

early. Elon did mention on the last conference call that they should be able to

1:21.1

achieve 7,000 per week with pretty minimal additional

1:24.2

cap-ex spend. However, they didn't share any particular timeline around when they

1:28.4

might expect to achieve that. Combining the lack of guidance there with

1:32.2

Tesla's historical tendency to be a little bit behind on some timelines.
