It is morning time once again and time for the morning mindset edition of the

And I didn't intend to spend a whole episode talking about the anti-depression list.

It just came to my mind.

What I intended to do was to pull out some scriptures that can help us when we find ourselves

in those times of depression. And so that's where we're going to start today, looking at

Psalm chapter 40. Now the Psalms are often a place we turn when we're finding ourselves in a down sense of

emotion or a down time in life.

And there's reason for that.

It's because the guys who wrote the Psalms, David and others,

knew what it was like to live a real life.

They were guys who were emotional. They were guys who

didn't shy away from the hard thing that life could be sometimes. But they also understood that God was the

one to turn to in those moments. God was the one to rely on, to help them not only through the difficult time but to lift their spirits out of it.

And so Psalm 40 is where I want to look today.

This is a Psalm of David, so David wrote it, and he says, I waited patiently for the Lord.

He inclined to me and heard my cry.
