Last week in episode 92, we discussed how historians research online and how computers in the internet have changed the ways they work.

This week we get to see some of that information in action because we're going to explore the

history contained within a new free-to-use digital history archive called the colonial North American project.

This project is the Harvard University Library's attempt to digitize and link all of its historical records about America, so that everyone who wants to can make use of them.

Taylor Sturmer, a visiting fellow at the Harvard Graduate School of Arts and Sciences,

and a member of the Colonial North American Project team will lead us on our exploration through this digital archive.

During our conversation, Taylor reveals what the Colonial North American Project is and details about some of the historical records it contains,

the history of the Harvard University Libraries, and John Hancock's relationship with Harvard,

and how the Harvard University Libraries digitizes materials for the colonial North American project

and how we can best navigate this new digital collection.
