And we begin with ammunition for a lively classroom debate. A new study finds that girls get better grades than boys at all ages, including in math and science.

Australian researchers analyzed 1.6 million kids in grammar school, high school, and college and found that on average, girls outperformed boys in every subject.

The advantage is narrower in STEM, but reportedly still there.

For decades, many educators believe men were just biologically better at math and science than women.

Former Harvard President Lawrence Summers actually had to resign in 2006 shortly after

publicly supporting that theory.

This new study, which seems to turn that long-held myth upside down appears in the journal Nature Communications.

There's another shakeup at Facebook.

The two founders of Instagram, which is now owned by the social media giant, just left the company

under somewhat mysterious circumstances. Industry watchers believe

Kevin Systrom and Mike Krieger wanted to run their wildly popular Instagram app with a little more independence

than CEO Mark Zuckerberg would allow. Their sudden exit follows the recent

departure of the WhatsApp founders and a reshuffling of Facebook executives earlier this year.

In other business news, Nike just did it.

The company named after the Greek goddess of victory beat Wall Street's earnings expectations for the quarter. The was not factored in because it debuted after the quarter ended, but sales are up considerably

since it was released.

In fact, it's been so successful that they're doubling down with polarizing golfer Tiger Woods.
