And we begin with kids from 800 cities, including Boston, New York, and San Francisco, skipping school today to march in what could be the biggest climate strike of all time.

Tens of thousands of students in the U.S. will take to the streets, joining millions more around the world, and a direct challenge to adults who they say are ignoring the destruction of the planet.

The protests are time to begin a week of activism at the United Nations.

It was just over a year ago that Greta, the Swedish teen, began skipping school on Fridays to sit outside

government buildings and bring attention to the crisis.

She'll be participating in today's protests and speaking at the UN.
