Welcome, welcome, friends, to our thoroughly Jewish Thursday broadcast. This is

Michael Brown. Phone lines are open for Jewish-related questions. So if it's a Hebrew question,

Israeli elections, but it's really very fluid. I just want to make sure you understand the dynamics.

And we talked about it some on Tuesday, but I want to revisit that now that the votes are basically

all counted, just about all counted, and explain where things stand and how things work.

But before we get into any of that, before we get to your calls, I want to answer this question

about what the people of Israel need more than anything. Is it a strong economy? Because without

a strong economy, they can't have a strong national defense. And without a

strong national defense, they'll get destroyed by hostile neighbors. Is it perhaps peaceful

relations with their Palestinian, Arab, Muslim neighbors? Is that the biggest thing Israel needs?

Does Israel need primarily harmony? Because there's such a rift between the secular left and the religious right. Is that what Israel needs more than anything?
