My name is Rob Maower. Today we're talking about Tesla Stock Performance

last week, Portia Mission E, and a couple new tweets from Elon Musk.

On Friday, the stock closed at $379.81 up 0.57%

this compared to the NASDAQ up 0.30%.

This capped a great week for Tesla stock up 9.61% on the week, compared to the NASDAQ up to 0.51%.

Looking back on the week and taking a lot of time to think about what caused this performance from Tesla stock,

I came up with a few reasons that I think I'm reasonably confident in, never 100% confident

when talking about stock price movement.

However, I think one of the biggest things is that we had a stable macro environment, so with the NASDAQ up just half a percent,

we tend to see Tesla have its best performance in those periods of stability.

If the NASDAQ swings up really aggressively, Tesla kind of tends to track it or even underperform it.

There's been speculation on the forums that this is due to traders hopping out of Tesla and hopping into other stocks that are performing well in the NASDAQ and writing the momentum from those.

And when the NASDAQ is down, that sometimes obviously drags Tesla down with it as well.

So a stable macro environment, Tesla often performs well and we had that last week and

definitely saw Tesla perform well. The other things that are more fundamental are we saw a ton of validation

at the Frankfurt Auto Show with tons of companies coming out and making

announcements about electric vehicles, both from concept cars and just electric vehicle production

goals for their companies in terms of becoming all electric, which means to them, some

sort of electric power trade included in the car, whether that be still inclusive of an internal combustion engine or not.

But we saw many announcements about automakers driving towards those goals of electrification,
