Over the weekend, an 18 carrot fully functioning commode disappeared from the boyhood

home of the late British Prime Minister, Winston Churchill.

The home is actually a palace, and it was only the second day that the residents was open for

an art exhibit.

Visitors were allowed to book three minute appointments with the five million dollar

throne so they could say they sat on and used the pricey privy. The theft

reportedly caused significant damage in flooding because the seat was

attached to the plumbing.

Police have one person in custody, but the Lou itself is still on the lam.

A new shade is making headlines this morning.

Scientists at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology

say they've created the blackest black ever reported.

It's a high-tech material made from tiny pieces of carbon that reportedly traps 99.9% of light 10 times more than

Vanta Black, which has long been thought to be the blackest black on Earth.

To test the color, scientists layered it over a 16 carrot diamond.

The normally bright yellow gem completely disappeared into a void.

Researchers say the possible uses for this as yet unnamed color are endless.

Everything from art to astronomy where super black is needed in telescopes to filter out stray light.

No history-making color was needed to spot 2000 QW7.
