And we begin with a teenager taking down a legend.

19-year-old Canadian Bianca Andrescu became that nation's first ever

grand slam tennis champion by beating 37 year old Serena Williams at the

US Open over the weekend. It was also the first time any player had won the open on their very first try.

Most of the 24,000 spectators, including Megan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, were rooting for Serena, so much so Bianca even

apologized for beating their idol. For her part Serena said she's not even sure

she showed up for the match and has some soul searching to do.

To put it in perspective, when Serena won the first of her six U.S. Open titles in 1999,

Bianca wasn't even born yet.

Maurice the Rooster grabbed international headlines when he was dragged to court in France

because of his early morning crowing.

Neighbors in the village of Saint-Pierre-Dolle-Yon

argued that his daily wake-up routine amounted to noise pollution.

The case pit city dwellers against country folk

because the people who brought the suit only visited his tiny town a few times a year.

A petition to Save Maurice received 140,000 signatures and several of his supporters brought roosters to the trial.

Maurice did not attend, his owner was afraid he might get argumentative.

In the end, his testimony wasn't needed.
