Today we are talking about the next generation Nissan Leaf

and a little bit of new information on Model 3 taxes.

Tesla stock yesterday closed down 1.63% to $349.59

Supercharger network update we added one supercharger yesterday

in Pennsylvania bringing our total up to 951 supercharger locations. Okay, into the news today. and Nissan Leaf. Or anyone unacquainted or unfamiliar with the Nissan Leaf.

The Nissan Leaf is the world's best-selling all-electric vehicle in terms of unit volume.

They've sold about 280,000 units since the Nissan Leaf was inceptpted back in 2010.

Model S is the best selling in terms of revenue generation, of course, due to the higher price,

but the Nissan Leaf does lead in terms of unit volume.

As we discussed last week, the current leaf is not super competitive

anymore despite its $30,000 base price because it only has 107 miles of range.

That puts the cost per mile of range, as we talked about at $280 per mile, which compares to $159 per mile for the

So we got a few updates yesterday on the Nissan Leaf which helps bring it back to more of a competitive position in the market.

There were a number of updates. The biggest one would be the range. The new Nissan Leaf will now have a 40 kilowatt hour battery pack, which compares to the current

generation having a 30 kilowatt hour battery pack.
