Today is Wednesday September 2nd, 2020 and we begin with a 12 year old skateboarding whiz kid showing the world what it means to try, try again.

Two months ago, Sky Brown took a wicked fall that her father says she was lucky to survive. The future Olympian from the United Kingdom

spent weeks recovering from multiple broken bones and injuries to her

stomach and lungs, but now she's back on the deck. With a cast on one wrist and legendary border Tony

Hawk by her side, Sky made her comeback by crushing Elliot Sloane's famous backyard mega-ramp.

It took her a few minutes before the drop-in to compose herself

and three tries for a clean landing,

but she pulled off a jump that's a first for a female skater. Social media is in awe, not just of the

courage to return to the sport, but also because she rocked a skirt for the attempt.

For her part, Sky never doubted she'd be back.

Sometimes you fall she said but I wanted to show me getting back up again.

The digital divide is real.

A picture of two girls doing their homework in a Taco Bell parking lot, because that's the only place they could get free internet access,

has struck a nerve.

In the photo, the kids are sitting on a curb,

laptops open with two employees of the Salinas California

chain kneeling next to them.

The image immediately went viral and the school district was able to

identify the girls and quickly get them use of a hot spot. The community also stepped in

with additional resources and a go fund me page.
