I mean, I'm talking about the kind of news that makes it feel like literally time just stops around you.

The world shrinks and And all you can do

is think about what's going on in that moment. Nothing else matters. I remember receiving news like

this when my stepmom, Julie, was diagnosed with acute lymphoma leukemia when I was 17.

And we were basically told she only had

about a week to live. And I mean, this was a diagnosis given to a healthy 40-year-old woman.

She'd never smoked a day in her life. She ate healthy. She was fit. Pretty much someone that you

would never expect to get dealt this deck of cards a week to live and i

remember so vividly that when that news was shared with me all i could do was just burst into tears

i mean literally in the blink of an eye her world our family's world all the people that knew and

loved her dearly was turned upside down and sadly she passed five days

later and it was a harsh reminder that life can shift on a dime at any moment i mean literally your

ticket can be called at any time.

And it really made me think about what's really important in life.

It made me think about, you know, the importance of just living life every day to the fullest and not wasting any time and energy on the shit that doesn't matter.

And usually it's the stuff that we do spend the most time and energy focusing on.
