As we come to the end of 2020, it's probably no surprise, I have been reflecting on this year

and thinking a lot about what I want to focus on for 2021. This last year, and I'm sure you are the same,

has forced me to do an audit on my life. What's working? What's not? What feels good? What doesn't?

What do I want more of? What do I want less of? What do I need to do to

show up as my best? And how can I support you in doing the same? When I look back on the challenges

that we had in 2020, I feel really freaking proud, proud of how far we have come in our stepfamily

life. Guys, 2020 has not been an easy year in the step family and co-parenting department.

Seven years ago, though, all the things that we dealt with this year would have and did consume me.

They affected my ability to show up as a wife, as a mom, as a stepmom, as a friend.

They left me feeling resentful and questioning it all.

But that was not the case this year.

This year, amongst all the extra stress, I have felt grounded and confident.

And I have so much faith in our ability to thrive amongst the extra stress.

What I'm saying is that while all the

stresses in our life are still the same as they were seven years ago, give or take a little bit,

the way they affect me and the way they affect my family has completely changed. So you're probably

like, okay, Jamie, this is so great for you. What is the difference? But I have spent the last several years

working on myself. Guys, it is about personal growth and resist the urge to rule your eyes here because

it is true. I have focused on improving my mindset, my reactions, my communication skills,

and my perspective. I'm also a hell of a lot more confident and secure
