Good morning, Live Bill Change community and family.

I'm Carrie Green. I am a retired pastor who is kind of walking along in this journey of discipleship of

followership to Jesus Christ and our goal in these morning minds says is to start

the day right to start the day right, to start the day with our minds

aligned, with the mind of Jesus Christ.

And so we're doing that primarily through thinking about biblical concepts as we read them.

And we've been in Colossians chapter 3, the last two episodes I spoke about this phrase that

Paul says in verse 16 of chapter 3 let the word of

Christ dwell in you richly. He says we've got to let that happen and we do it by

putting ourselves into a context where it can happen.

That's through hearing the word of God, which is the Bible.

It's God's revelation to us of how he thinks.

And we do it through prayer, through interacting with God in a relational manner because this is a relationship we have with God.

And if it's a one-sided thing where we're doing all the talking it's not much of a relationship is it I mean try

that with your spouse and see how that works for the health of your relationship I

guarantee you that won't last very long.

It won't, you'll be downhill in a hurry.

So why do we think it's okay for that to be the case when it comes to our relationship with Christ?

It shouldn't be.

We need to put ourselves in a place where we're not only speaking to him, but we're also hearing from him.

And that does happen through the word of God. It also happens through prayer.

As we're pondering the word of God we've read, he guides us in our thoughts and he expands upon what he has said in his word.
