0:00.0	Hey guys, how's it going? Scott here back with another episode of the SPL podcast. And today,
0:05.2	we've got the frighteningly awesome bass player, Mike Bendy, with us. Now, Mike's originally
0:10.6	from Brooklyn, New York City. And you might actually be aware of Mike through his association
0:14.4	with Federa guitars because he plays an amazing-looking six-string imperial from Federa.
0:21.4	In fact, he actually worked there for a time as well
0:23.3	and was lucky enough to bump into the likes of Anthony Jackson and Victor Uten
0:27.9	whenever they would visit the shop.
0:29.8	Now, while Flea, Cliff Burton and Les Capel were early influences of Mike's bass playing,
0:35.4	he really stepped it up a notch when he discovered the music of
0:38.0	Jaco Pistorius. And then now fast forward to 2017, and Mike is regularly gigging with his
0:43.9	own group, The Hipster Assassins, which features another insanely gifted bass player, Felix Pastorius,
0:50.7	and drummer Kenny Grahowski, who I'm sure you might remember from our recent Academy course
0:55.8	with Steve Jenkins. Kenny and Steve tore it up and we were over in New York and record this
