And we begin with an expensive word of warning for kids who fly with their phones, which is pretty much all of you.

A Northern California family returned home from an Asia vacation to a $13,000 cell phone

bill. Mom and kids say they all put their mobiles in airplane

mode for the flight, but that wasn't enough for an offline game played for 30

minutes by one of the boys. Apparently many mobile apps that don't require an internet

connection still use data in the background. The family appealed to Verizon, which cut the roaming

charges from $13,700 to a still staggering $3,800.

Only after a call from a consumer reporter with KGO TVV did Verizon agree to waive all fees. The lesson always turned data off, even in

airplane mode. Google is not waiting for Congress.

The Internet Giant just renamed the Russell Senate Office Building in Washington, D.C.

after the late John McCain, at least on its maps app. Politicians have been debating the name change since the senator passed away last weekend,

but in true political fashion they are taking their time to study the idea.

Not knowing how long that'll take, Google made the change on its own.

The building, at least online, will now be known as the McCain Senate Office Building.

Memorials to the War Hero began yesterday on what would have been his 82nd birthday.

Today the public is invited to line a major freeway in Phoenix, Arizona, as a procession winds its way to a service

featuring former Vice President Joe Biden.

Tomorrow the tributes will move to Washington, D.C.
