Good morning and welcome the kid news. I'm Tori. Today is Thursday, August 22nd, 2019 and we begin with

multi-colored plastic raining down in Colorado.

That's the sober conclusion of a new study from the US Geological Survey.

Researchers collecting rainwater from around the state discovered tiny bits of blue, red, silver, purple, and green plastic in about 90% of the samples.

Authors of the study believe the colorful shards, beads, and fibers originally came from polluted water that evaporated into the sky.

While these particles are visible only under a microscope, their presence is a cause for concern.

According to one researcher, it's in the rain, it's in the snow, it's part of

our environment now.

In entertainment news, has Spider-Man spun his last web in the Marvel universe?

can tell you that Spider-Man has played a huge role

in recent plot lines.

Moving forward, all of that will change unless two film studios can work out

their differences. Sony Pictures, which owns the rights to the Spider-Man character, has ended its deal

with Disney, which produces the Marvel films.

The issues appear to be centered around money.

The result is that Spider-Man won't be starring alongside Captain America, Iron Man, The Hulk, and other Marvel favorites anytime soon.

Spidey Will reportedly still continue to swing in his own standalone films.
