Hello everyone and welcome to Diz Unplug Ground Table discussion for the week of August 16th, 2011.

I'm John Maygay and I'll be your host this week.

I am joined in the studio by Kevin Close, Cory Martin, Julie Martin, Kathy Whirling, Teresa Eccles and Max the intern.

Pete and Walter are on a Disney cruise line Alaska vacation.

They are actually on their way home from that and they will be with us next week.

For this segment, Teresa is going to tell us about something that kind of has got us all perplexed.

She apparently didn't want her daughter in the house anymore but she didn't have any money so she just dropped her off at a park

and made her friend for herself. It sounds very much like Lord of the Flies but hopefully it has a good ending.

Teresa, what the heck happened?

There is a lesson to be learned here.

The summer started, school is out, I got back from Europe and she went, Grace wanted something to do and she,

what are you going to do? We had annual passes, she wants to go to the park.

So June came and every week or so she'd go to the park and with it would go 15 to $30 of my money.

By the end of June, I finally said, look, I have no more money.

You got two more months of summer to go.

I'll take you to the park, you can go with your friends but I've got nothing to give you.

I can't be showing this money out to go to the park.

So July, she went two or three times with basically no money in her pocket and it dawned on me that she was coming back happy.

She was coming back just as fine as if she went with money.

So the last week in July, we did a little test and she went seven days to a park.

Several days were universal, Hollywood Studios, Magic Kingdom, Epcot and she only spent a total of $18.
