billions of gallons of water surging toward Alaska's capital. This massive glacial outburst started

in a lake that runs up against the western part of Juneau and acts, according to CNN, like a giant

bucket filling up with rain, snow, and

melting ice, and eventually gets so full that water surges into the Mendin Hall River. But that

river rose to above 16 feet yesterday, according to the National Weather Service, topping a record

set last year when flooding there damaged almost 300 homes. More than a thousand people

were evacuated Tuesday night as sections of roads, trails, and areas near the river became

submerged. But so far, temporary barriers installed to protect riverfront neighborhoods

appeared to be holding pretty well. Meteorologists blame our warming climate for the outburst,

which is the third to hit the basin in three years.

On YouTube and you're not 18, AI is coming for you. The video sharing site began testing a new

system yesterday that relies on artificial intelligence to determine someone's

age based on the videos they're watching, not considered the age, real or fake that someone may have

entered when they signed up. If a user gets flagged as a minor, the usual guardrails kick in,

like limited access to some videos, as well as take a break and bedtime reminders.

What if AI makes a mistake and the user is actually over 18?

They'll have to prove it with an ID.

The testing will impact only a small portion of YouTube's audience in the U.S.,

but will be expanded if successful.
