the best 10 to 12-year-old baseball players in the country descending on South Williamsport, Pennsylvania

for the start of a summer tradition. It's the Little League World Series, which starts today and

ends with the championship game on August 24th.

20 teams are competing, 10 from the U.S. and 10 from other countries.

And while most of the attention will be on the diamond, downtime is spent sledding on

cardboard on the hill overlooking Lamaddy Stadium. It hasn't been officially announced, but the Little

leaguers will likely be joined by Big League guest sliders from the Mets and Mariners when they

face off Sunday in the annual Little League classic, which, as one pro coach told ESPN, is a one-day

reminder of why they fell in love with the game in the first place. There's no talk about swing

decisions or analytics. There's nothing about money. You're thinking, I remember when it was

this fun. Taylor Swift has entered her next era. Strategically, at 1212 yesterday morning, the 12th of

August, the pop star announced the upcoming

release of her 12th album, titled The Life of a Showgirl. The reveal with a blurred album cover

came during a pre-taping of boyfriend Travis Kelsey's New Heights podcast, which officially

airs today. Ms. Swift always drops hints known as Easter eggs, and Swifties

likely saw the album coming as the number 12 has been baked into all sorts of posts dating back

to last spring. But a Swedish DJ may have been the first to let the cat out of the bag accidentally.

In an April video talking about his own upcoming remix, he said,

We just need to finish Taylor Swift's album and then we'll jump on it.

The clip was taken down almost immediately, but obviously not soon enough.
