And we begin with the lengths people will go to get a selfie.

Jamie Biseglia met up with some fishermen who had just hooked an octopus during a fishing derby in Washington State.

Thinking it would make for a funny photo, she put the octopus on her face,

but pretty quickly stopped laughing.

The octopus grabbed her with its tentacles and bit her.

The octopus venom left her in incredible pain and she's now on three antibiotics

to treat it.

The bite wasn't life threatening but certainly

taught her a lesson about the unpredictability of wild animals. Not a good idea

she says I will never do it again.

And speaking of animals, maybe cats aren't the only ones with nine lives.

Winston, a two-year-old 30-pound bulldog who lives in New York fell six stories from his owner's Manhattan apartment

and crashed through a parked car's sunroof. His owners expected the worst but

found him sitting in the car's driver's seat, panting a bit,

and apparently perplexed by all the people staring at him.

Winston ended up with just a few cuts on his leg and some bruising,

and now seems to be just fine.

It took his owners quite a while to recover from the shock of what

happened. They say they are counting their blessings and joked that Winston will be

on leash for the rest of his life. If you're going to dream, dream big.
