Summary

On the Green, Susan notices the new cot in Amber’s car. Amber explains that she’s returning it to her parents – she and George want to use the Grundy cot and don’t need the Gordons’ money. As Susan advises sensitivity with returning it, Amber becomes faint. Amber explains that she’s exhausted with the amount of social media work for the Borchester Show. She’s not slept well and hasn’t started her maternity leave. Susan asks if George can help more, and insists that she helps Amber by returning the cot for her. At the showground, Amber is furious to discover that George has been helping Bill to move cars instead of working on the socials. She makes a point of telling her father that they won’t be needing the cot, and that Susan will be returning it to them in the coming days. She’s also angry with George - not only is he banned from driving, she’s having to do everything herself!

In the horse box, Chris pulls on his hoodie while the fake tan he’s applied develops. When Lottie arrives and wants to take advantage of the cute living quarters, Chris is resistant to undress and ushers her out to the showground. Later, Chris ignores Lottie’s request for a kiss goodbye and runs back to the shower at the horse box – he’s forgotten to rinse off the mousse! Embarrassed, he reveals his orange arms to Lottie. He’d only wanted to look less pasty by the other farriers. The only option is to keep scrubbing and Lottie flirts and offers to help.

I'm serious. I don't want anyone seeing me like this. Is that stuff still wet? George! Get off, Chris. You're going to get it on me. I mean it. That's enough. Okay. Okay. How come you've got fake tan on anyhow? You're worried how you're going to look in the Farrier competition? Look, the Borseshire Farrier Association are going to be taking photographs. They're even talking about doing a charity calendar. Oh yeah? I'm not going to leave the moose on for long, just an hour or so, so my arms aren't quite a pale. Do what you want. No judgment here. Now, can I have my hoodie back? Yeah, of course. So, how are you going to wash off the moose? How do you think in the shower? What? This horse box has a shower. Yeah, I told you, it's got everything. There's even a full-size double bed above the cab. You should move in here instead of Nana and Grandad's. Yeah, well, I'm only here for one night to keep an eye on horses. They're travelling straight back after the show tomorrow. Shame.

Right this minute though, I need to get back to the farrier's tent. Look, none of the tint is showing, is it?

Oh my days. This place is unreal. Believe me, you ain't seen half of it. George, haven't you got social media stuff you need to do? Yeah. Well... Go on. Oh, yeah, right. I'll catch you later then. Lottie, you should ask Chris to show you the shower. Oh, there's a shower? Yeah, see you, George. Well, where is it? Is it in here? Never mind that. Did you find your pitch? Yeah, in fact, I'm next to someone I know from the other craft markets I go to. Oh. Oh, seriously, Chris, when you said you were sleeping in a horse box, I thought it'd be on the floor or something.
