And we begin with a mighty hero for Mutville. The animal shelter in San Francisco that helps older dogs find forever homes has benefited greatly from the efforts of 14 year old Meena Kumar.

The reason, the young teen was herself adopted when she was just nine months old.

She's been raised in California and has always had a passion for dogs.

When Mina first learned that older dogs are often overlooked for adoption.

She immediately wanted to help out at Muckville,

but she has to be 17 to volunteer there.

So, Mina did the next best thing.

She set up a pet sitting service for her neighbors and

school friends raising $14,000 for the shelter in the last two years and she

encourages all families looking for a four-legged friend to consider an older dog.

She says they give you the same unconditional love as any other dog.

Right now she adds, we need their love more than ever.

Tic-Toc in the U.S. may get a new lease on life.

A few days ago, the White House had said that the popular short-form video app would be banned in the US because there's

concern the Chinese owners were using it to basically spy on his 100 million

American customers. Now Microsoft says it may buy the platform. The

tech giant says it would add world-class security, privacy, and digital safety

protections and aims to have the deal done by September 15th.

So for now, talks of a ban are off while talks of an American buyout continue.

We're now in a new phase of COVID-19.

At least that's according to White House coronavirus response coordinator, Dr. Deborah Burks.
