And we begin with proof that what goes up must come down.

Over the weekend, more than two months after its historic launch

from Cape Canaveral, the Dragon capsule undocked from the International Space Station

decelerated from 17,000 miles an hour to just 15 and made its splashy return to Earth.

On board, astronauts Doug Hurley and Robert Benkin, who normally would have dropped into the Atlantic off the coast of Florida,

but because of tropical storm Isaius had a detour to the west and plunked down near Pensacola

in the Gulf of Mexico. The cheeky greeting that awaited them, thank you for

flying SpaceX. The wildly successful mission using a private company to reach the Great

Beyond is sure to usher in a new age of space travel for the US.

But as lofty as that sounds, the sons of Colonel Hurley and Benkin grounded them with an

in-flight call that congratulated them on their accomplishment,

then urged them to get home quickly so they could go pick up the puppy they were promised.

An update this morning on that Georgia sleepaway camp that had to

shut down only six days after it opened. That was back in late June. Since then at

least 260 campers and staff who were there during that one ill-fated

week have tested positive for the coronavirus.

The initial outbreak occurred, even though YMCA's Camp High Harbor followed many, but not all, of the health and safety rules laid out by the Centers for Disease Control.

For example, counselors all wore masks, but they weren't

required of campers. Sleeping cabins were packed, yet the windows were kept

closed, and those who were there participated in the sleepaway rituals of rowdy singing, dancing, and cheering,

apparently without adequate social distancing.
