Hello, I'm Sean Curran and this is today in Parliament from BBC Radio 4, the Thursday, the 8th of January, when the government published its road safety strategy.

Our vision is clear. Any road user, however they choose to travel, should be able to move safely on our roads.

I've sat with families torn apart by deaths and serious injuries on our roads.

It's one of the hardest parts of my job.

But even through intolerable pain, they campaign, they fight, they demand change so that others can be spared their sense of loss.
