Good morning, it's time for the morning mindset edition of Live Bill Change.

I am Carrie Green. I'm so glad you're with me. I'm so glad you're pausing to take time to think rightly about yourself and about this day.

God's word is such a gift.

It's been given to us to help us get our minds right every day, but sadly we neglect it to our

own detriment.

And today these mindset editions of the Live Bill Change podcast are to help you, to give you a five minute

little shot in the soul, is what I call it, to get your mind right.

And so today we're continuing in Colossians chapter 3 toward that end. And Paul has just told us, above everything else that he's already said,

were to put on love, which binds everything together in perfect unity. And then he's going to begin a few

statements that tell us to let something happen in our lives, to allow something that maybe we're not aware is on God's radar that he's trying

to accomplish in our lives he's wanting to do and we need to be submissive to it.

That's the language that Paul's using here.

So we're going to start in verse 16, or verse 15, I'm sorry,

and he says, and let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts to which indeed you were called

in one body and be thankful.

So we are to let the peace of Christ rule in our hearts. Now what would that look

like? We live in a world where stress is common, where things are pressed on us, obligation, responsibility, expectations, all these things

that push on us every day and can cause us emotionally to start getting a little twisted, right?

We start thinking in terms of panic or in terms of anxiety.

And it's a very natural human response.

But if you go back four or five or six episodes and you listen to the conversations we had around the topic of having our new identity in Christ.

We learned back then that we no longer are that old sinful self.
