darken the door of a therapist, but are just curious enough to wonder what it would be like to talk

with someone. You know, I believe we all have our

bits of wisdom and what I have to pass on to you is the wisdom that I've learned

from the patients that I've seen for 25 years today we're going to be talking about suicide and the

predictability of suicide. I think you're going to be surprised by some of what

the research says. I recently had a mom of a daughter who had had borderline

personality disorder tell me that she can't even look at signs that say suicide is

preventable because she can't believe that her child

actually committed suicide it may have been accidental it may not have been

but it's very hurtful to think that she could have prevented it.

So we're going to talk some about what the research actually shows.
