And we begin with a young man's bravery being recognized by the superheroes of Hollywood.

Bridger Walker and his younger sister were playing at a friend's house in Wyoming

when a German shepherd lunged.

Six-year-old Bridger stepped in front of his sister and told her to run a decision that saved her but left him with bite marks and 90 stitches.

Word of his heroics made it to the offices of the Avengers, and so far he's received video messages from

Spider-Man star Tom Holland and Captain America's Chris Evans who vowed to send

an authentic shield. Iron Man actor Robert Downey Jr. also zoomed in, called the young boy a rock star, and said he's got something special in mind for Bridger's birthday. A promise he says that will trump the shield of Captain America.

The nation has lost a civil rights icon.

Representative John Lewis of Georgia

passed away Friday after spending a lifetime fighting for racial equality.

He was the son of sharecroppers, marched on Washington in 1963, shared the podium with

Martin Luther King Jr. for his I Have a Dream speech and help push through the Voting Rights Act of 1965, all before getting elected to Congress in 1986.

Now is House seat is vacant.

Georgia's Democratic Party leaders will meet today to consider a nominee to fill it.

Plans for a tribute in the nation's capital are pending.

In the meantime, his fight continues. Today, tens of thousands of workers in more

than 25 cities will stage a strike for black lives. All will walk off the job for eight minutes the length of time now synonymous with

the passing of George Floyd at the hands of Minneapolis police in May.

You can see them from space. A giant swarm of flying ants 50 miles wide has been

spotted on radar over the United Kingdom. It's an annual ritual. The ants sprout

wings and go airborne in search of mates.
