with a haircut that raised $38,000. Ever since Kiran Mouis was a child, he had been known

for his hair. An afro that stood high and wide above his head. For the past six years,

Kiran opted to not trim his impressive locks, but that recently changed when the 17-year-old

decided to join the Air Force Academy, which requires very short hair. So the teen invited his

community in Huntsville, Alabama to watch his 19-inch curls get shorn off in a charity drive to

benefit kids with cancer. Then, Kiran donated his curls to a non-profit that provides wigs to

children and young adults who've lost their hair. Kiran's mom says her son always had a big

heart and was determined that if he was getting a haircut anyway, he should pay it forward

to help as many people as possible. Legoland, New York is finally fully open. After a few weeks

of previews, all seven of the themed areas are up and running in the town of Goshen about an hour

north of New York City. And the nearby Legoland hotel with some rooms that have themes like pirate,

ninja go, and Lego friends will open next month. The park was initially set to debut July 4th

last year before COVID delayed those plans. Oh, and one note from the European-based company that

makes these classic toys, Lego is an adjective. So you can say Lego bricks or Lego sets, but technically

not just Lego on its own. The small US territory of Guam in the Pacific Ocean is suddenly becoming

very popular with tourists from nearby Taiwan, not just for the lovely beaches, but also to get

a COVID jab. The Guam Visitors Bureau just launched the Air VNV for Visit and Vacation Program

that is open to Taiwan citizens ages 12 and up. Taiwan has reported a shortage of vaccine

availability and with a new outbreak of cases, some are going overseas to get a shot. A major travel

company in Taiwan, Lion Travel says the Air VNV tour packages are sold out for the next few weeks.
